Nagoya is the prefectural capital of Aichi Prefecture in the central part of Japan. It is a major city in Japan located between Tokyo and Osaka.

It was the hometown of the historically famous Sengoku warlords Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu.

It is also famous as a city of manufacturing, with the headquarters of Toyota Motor Corporation and many Toyota-affiliated companies located in Aichi Prefecture.

It is also famous as a food town. There are many local specialties such as hitsumabushi, miso katsu, tenmusu, miso nikomi udon, chicken wings, kishimen and fried shrimp.
The characteristic of the city of Nagoya is that it is neither too urban nor too rural, and is often said to be a very comfortable city to live in. The areas where people usually go for shopping and entertainment is Sakae and around Nagoya Station.
